B2400-B04 AIRman Air Control Kit for Steerable Lift Axle Applications (HAC-SSI)

The B2400-B04 AIRman Air Control Kit fits all Steerable Lift Axle Applications.

The AIRman B2400-B04 is an all-in-one pneumatic Steerable Inside Mounted (SSI) lift axle control valve assembly. This all-in-one valve is easy to install and maintain, and is mufactured in the USA by AIRman Products. This heavy-duty valve regulates the inflation and deflation of lift and ride air bags on commercial trucks, trailers, and vocational vehicles. It is highly regarded as a direct mechanical and plumbing replacement for the discontinued Hendrickson HAC-SSI system.

This series air kit has been designed to provide excellent reliability in your lift axle application. All air kits, however, are exposed to water and contaminant-filled air on a daily basis, so it is important that you install the provided inline air filter when installing this kit.

Features:

• Made by AIRman Inc., an Origional Equipment supplier.
• Lift in reverse application.
• Used mainly in Steerable lift axle applications.
• The solenoid on this valve is not grounded, uses two wires for various hookup methods, whether positive or negative switched.
  • 12vdc applied to the lift solenoid raises the axle, typically connected to the reverse light circuit and lowers when power is removed.
    • Note that some vehicles use a negative switched reverse light circuit and would require the use of a relay to operate properly (not included). Download the installation instructions below for more details.
    • The Hendrickson version of the HAC-SSI is discontinued and is replaced by LC-SSI, which requires new plumbing and the panel size is different.

• Color-Coded Port Connections
  • 🟢 Green Port: Main air supply input (from the truck’s primary or auxiliary air supply tank).
  • 🔵 Blue Port: Lift springs output (supplies air to the bags that lift the axle off the ground).
  • 🔴 Red Port: Ride springs output (supplies regulated air to the bags that push the axle down onto the road).
  • 🟡 Yellow Port: System exhaust (vents air out of the system during cycle changes).

• Hoses/tubing not included. (Note: For reference, the small tube from gauge to valve is 5/32”)
• This kit is for lifting/lowering the suspension only and does not control brakes.
• The panel measures 2-3/4 x 7-1/4 with a bolt pattern of 2.25 x 6-5/8.
